Software Engineer for DSP Motor Control

Task:

Develop software using dedicated Digital Signal Processors (TI / ST / On Semi)

Real time code development using interrupt routines and fault handling

Communication with host using standard protocols on CAN 2.0 / RS-232 / RS-485 / I2C

Understand hardware circuitry associated with DSP such as CLK, Handshake, bus hardware etc

Experience (in order of priority):

Hands-on experience in real time programming (at least 3 years)

Use of de-bug tools, such as debugger, Flash Programmer, C compiler etc

Emulation and use of simulation tools

Ability to code in both C and Assembly Language

PCB layout experience => issues of cross-talk, noise, problem solving

Preferred Capabilities:

Understanding of Power Electronics,

Understanding of Motor behavior / parameters (torque ripple, startup etc)

Understanding of Analog circuitry (limitations, interfacing etc)

Education:

Masters’ degree with 3+ years RELEVANT experience or Bachelors’ degree with 5+ years
